I'm sure everyone saw we have a rankings page. Just curious as to how rankings will be determined?
Staff's discretion? No real system just gonna wing it? Some sort of points system? W/L record? etc.....

Good question. Everyone feel free to make suggestions. Lets decide this as a fed.

I think the stance that is taken on rankings really does depends on what the management wishes to reward for. A points and/or win-loss record is, in my opinion, pretty null and void in the formation a ranking system, as both of the above-mentioned are (or should) be reflected by the promotion's title belt holders for their consistence and quality.
If it were me, I think I'd operate the ranking system on a week-by-week basis, whereby the top 3-5 roleplays - determined by the management - are reflected in rankings, and in the order they deem fit. It is a good incentive and encourages everyone to be at their best, regardless of writing ability.

I think the rankings should exclude the NLW Heavyweight Champion, and whoever's the Nevada State Champion automatically be ranked #1. That way, we know Nevada State Champion is the "technical" number one contender for the NLW Championship with a clause stating he/she has to successfully defend the NS Championship once or twice within 3 months. Also, in place of challenging for the NLW Championship the NS Champion should be forced to vacate the championship. Sort of like WCW's old US title and TNA's X-Title.
As for the rest of the rankings, I think 1-5 should be allowed to make challenges towards the Heavyweight title, 2-10 for the NV State, and 2-15 for the Television. Tag and QoQ can have their own rankings for getting contenders.
Also, wins & losses shouldn't be the only factor. Sure, it should be one but not the final one. I think a combination of win streak, strength of opponent, consistency, and "fan hype" should be added. By fan hype, I think there should be a voting put up weekly to decide who had the best roleplays for that week so that they can get pushed forward.
Just my two cents.

If it's o.k. to give me two cent in the issue of the ranking's system, I think we should do power 5 until the roster builds up. Then we should have three candidates for every title. Like for example:
Nevada State Champion - Vacant Number 1 Contender - None
Candidate: Christian Taylor Candidate: Bryan Kennedy Candidate: Apollo Dinero
Then the power five can be based on the rping for the current card. Then somebody who does the most outstanding job on the card can bypass the power 5 completely and earn spotlight of the week/biweekly, not sure how we can word it.

I've been browsing feds and finding some cool ideas. Some just go by W/L ratio, some have a Points system. At least we seem to have options.

Can't wait to see what the staff comes up with for this.

Glad I don't have to figure out what to do with it. But what ever the staff comes up with it should be awesome.

Well, what I've found is easiest is a point system that gives credit to champions, but doesn't necessarily mean they're going to be #1. Those don't take other things into account though. It definitely works. So far my vote is for a point system, which I'm more than happy to assist with making, or Bryan's suggestion.

OK.
I've come up with this idea to do the rankings.
I'm thinking what if we take RP grades. Meaning the entire staff, and average them out for a total. So for example say there is 4 staff members. And "Wrestler A" does an RP and it's graded, 3.1, 3.8, 3.4 & 4.2. We'd simply add those grades up which would be a total of, 14.5pts, then divide it by 4, which would be a 3.6pts avg. That RP grade would be your points for the week based on RP's. If you win your match you get a 2pt bonus added on. So if "Wrestler A" won their match, their total would now be 5.6pts. A draw would be 1pt bonus, and a defeat 0pts.
Title wins would also have bonus points, which I need to decide.
Now whatever points you have this week will remain with you added to your score next week. So if you earn 3.6pts this week, and next week 3.2pts, you'd have a total of 6.8pts.
Also feel we should reset the points after each PPV. But award everyone in the top 5, 2pts. And those ranked 6-10, 1pt, to begin the new cycle.
Thoughts?

That's a unique and fair way to do rankings boss. As for title wins, I'd say on a regular Roulette they should get a .5pt boost and a .25 boost for draw. This way it doesn't end up getting too unbalanced.
